This section brings together research projects that explore cities as multi-layered systems—spatially, socially, and discursively. From the intimate configuration of residential complexes to the broad logics of metropolitan structure, and from material urban patterns to the symbolic narratives that shape collective meaning, each project examines a different facet of socio-spatial life.
Using a range of quantitative, computational, and interpretive methods, these works reveal hidden structures, trace behavioural and cultural dynamics, and uncover how places evolve, interact, and become meaningful over time.
